Overview
UIC Government Services (UICGS) seeks an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team at our corporate office in Springfield, VA. UICGS is an Alaskan Native owned corporation with approximately 30 subsidiaries and 3,000 employees which operate under the trade name of Bowhead. The A/P Supervisor will report to the A/P Manager. Currently we are offering a hybrid work schedule, two days in the office and three at home. This is subject to change. Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar accounting software experience required. Compensation is flexible and will be determined by the successful candidate’s background and experience.
Responsibilities
• Serve as backup for the A/P Manager and assist in supervision of six employee department• Processing Accounts Payable for multiple companies, with attention to detail• Work effectively as a team player with ability to solve problems• Processing ACH and check payments • Ability to process a high volume of invoices in Costpoint, accurately and efficiently• Managing and processing from multiple mailboxes• Reconciliation of AP GL responsibilities; prepaid and deposit accounts• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Four (4) or more years of total Accounts Payable experience with a minimum of two (2) years in government contracting is ideal. College level education in Accounting and/or related fields may be considered as a substitute for the experience requirement. • Recent experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar accounting software.• Organized, efficient, courteous to our outside vendors and internal employees• Prior supervisory experience • Ability to interface with and communicate with vendors, employees, and management in other departments. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRMENTS: Currently there are no security clearance requirements for this position however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
